Well, my new JAG's busted.

MY new Jaguar refuses to light up it's power LED (I have no game to test it with at the moment) and the AC for it works perfectly fine as evidenced by my Genesis running just fine with it, so I'm assuming that something has gone bad inside of it. I opened it up, fought the retarded shielding design and got the motherboard out, but it looks pristine and with no blown circuits so I'm going to assume it's the fuse that's gone bad.

Is there any common problem in Jaguar consoles that causes them to stop working such as shorts and whatnot, or do the power LED and console just not light up unless a cartridge is inserted?

I believe that is what happens when there is no game in it. I saw it in a youtube video once.

I just really, really want to play Tempest 2000, Rayman and Raiden on it, but I need to know what's up with my JAG first!

I'll pass, that's one game I just don't ever want to own or hold a copy of.

As far as this video shows I need to have a game inserted for it to turn on, so I'm guessing that's the problem:

EDIT!: I'll gladly borrow & return someone's Tempest 2000 if they're willing to let me borrow it!

The light doesn't go on unless there's a cart in- Trust me, I've been upset by that a few times.
