Re: Anyone have pictures of Gen 2/3 pin configuration?
Genesis 2/3/32X/CDX are all the same cable. It could be a Saturn. I can't tell from your picture as its too small, but look at the A/V port pinouts section here. http://www.gamesx.com/index.php

Re: Anyone have pictures of Gen 2/3 pin configuration?
Thank you for the link. I will investigate. If nothing else, I know its not for anything Sega that I have and its definitely not for a Gen 2/3, if they share a cable with the CDX. I am 100% sure cable is for none of those, since I have a CDX and the pin config is totally different. (this cable is a 4 pin, with some kind of black placement/holder think at the very bottom.Hobie-wan wrote:Genesis 2/3/32X/CDX are all the same cable. It could be a Saturn. BTW, its not a Saturn Cable either, bc it doesn't fit my Saturn. The Saturn is a 10 pin connection, the CDX is a 9 pin and they are also laid out differently. Thanks for the suggestion. Hopefully that link narrows it down a bit.

Eh, someday I'll get around to modding a Genesis for better video, but just glad to help. Take a look here too.

No mods required. Just cables and a converter.Hobie-wan wrote:Eh, someday I'll get around to modding a Genesis for better video, but just glad to help. Take a look here too.

Perfect. So having this data will help for the future. I didn't even know to look for "mini din". I was just shooting out searches for AV cable/composite cable/etc..Hobie-wan wrote:Eh, someday I'll get around to modding a Genesis for better video, but just glad to help. Take a look here too.

I don't understand the point of changing this thread's title to just say "Thanks, done". Perhaps you could add "Thanks, done" but don't take out the original title. It doesn't help people down the road if they should do a search and come across the title "Thanks, done" in the search results.
