Well,
both let you stick things in them for amusement...
both usually end up costing you a fortune over time...
and both whine incessantly...

You can find tons of Japanese PS2 games for under $30. In fact, a good chunk of the Japanese games I want are in the $15-25 range, with only a few beyond that. Namco X Capcom, Battle Stadium DON, Tales of Rebirth, Full Metal Alchemist: Dream Carnival, Dream Mix TV World Fighters and tons of others I found for $15, if you look for used rather than new. You can also look for the "PlayStation The Best" versions of PS2 JPN games, as these tend to be around $25 new.pepharytheworm wrote:
Whats a good source to get swap magic? I want to get one and the Breaker Pro but all the sites I find that have it I am not familiar with.
To me the best systems for imports are the Saturn, Super Famicom, and PC engine (cd wise). The games aren't too expensive and its easy to get imports to play on your US system.
Even Sengoku Basara X, one of the highest in demand games, is only touching $30.

As for the best place to get Swap Magic, I can't even remember where I got mine. I just went to the official site's "Where To Buy" page. http://www.swapmagic3.com/Swap_Magic_Where_To_Buy.asp
I'm probably going to order another one myself from vpgames, as their bundle deals didn't seem to bad.

^^^
I was mostly speaking from that its easier to import on those consoles and that there is plenty under $30. Just cut some tabs off on the super nes, action replay or easy to install modchip Saturn, and region free PC-Engine cdroms.
I heard it a little more complicated getting a modchip on the ps2 and that you need a new flip lid or a key to pull the tray out for magic swap.
I guess handhelds would be the cheapest and easiest though, most region free and mildly priced games. Anybody know good handheld imports? I want Bomberman Story DS.

To use Swap Magic, all you need to do is order Swap Magic (and order a slide card, if you don't want to make one yourself), and then take the face plate off of the PS2.
It's almost painfully easy. I remember thinking it would be a big deal, then I did it in less than 5 minutes my first time.
Best handheld imports I have is Jump Super Stars and Jump Ultimate Stars. 99% of my non-emulator playtime on the NDS comes from playing those two.
