Best JPN-only games?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

It's good, I'll give it that, but I have no idea how it compares.
Thanks will try it next time I need my 8-bit MG fix

What about Taiko no Tatsujin? Anyone tried importing the drums? The DS games are good but the sound volume is low.

Kururin Squash for gamecube can be had for cheap. Picked it up and I am glad I did. Its the third in the series, the first two being on GBA.

Any of the Bit.Generations games on GBA are also cool.

Uh, he said $30 and under. These are both super pricey.

GleyLancer has a nice translation patch that is quite unnecessary but it's more 'complete' that way. I read somewhere of a VC release shouldn't that have brought prices down a bit? As for Border Down the Naomi version might or might not be playable on the latest emulators.

I haven't played too many Japan exclusives, but of what I have played, Sin and Punishment (N64) is awesome! I can't believe they never brought it state side, especially since a lot of the game is already in English.

Shin Megami Tensei I and II (SNES) are both pretty good and have fan translations in English if you use a patched emulator. I like SMT II better than the first one. Running through 1st person labyrinths in a time before 3D graphics is kind of tedious though, which keeps me from playing much of either of these games.

Front Mission: Gun Hazard (SNES) is pretty decent. It's more of an action game than an SRPG like other Front Mission games.

Bahamut Lagoon (SNES) is a nice RPG that has a similar look and feel to some of the classic Final Fantasy games.

I've also wanted to play Chain Dive and Hakuto no Ken on the PS2 because they both look cool, I just haven't ever been into the import scene enough to warrant getting a Japanese PS2.

God knows, don't get a Japanese PS2! That's just a waste of money!

All you need is Swap Magic.

Whats a good source to get swap magic? I want to get one and the Breaker Pro but all the sites I find that have it I am not familiar with.

To me the best systems for imports are the Saturn, Super Famicom, and PC engine (cd wise). The games aren't too expensive and its easy to get imports to play on your US system.

Some of the ones I like under $30 are:

SFC:
Hanelin no Violin
Go Go Ackman 1-3
Magical Kun
UFO Kamen Yakisoban
Super PC Genjin 2
Bomberman D-Bamen
The Great Battle 1-4
Battle Cross
Little Magic
Mickey Tokyo Disneyland
Ranma ½ series

Saturn:
Bomberman Fight!
Asuka 120%
Theres more but I just started looking for Saturn imports

PC-Engine CD roms:
V.G. Advanced
Valis series
The Legend of Xanadu
L-Dis
DORAEMON - NOBITA'S DORABIAN NIGHT
SUPER DIMENSION FORTRESS MACROSS 2036
THE NINJA WARRIORS
RANMA 1/2
Where's my chippy? There's my chippy.
