I've bitten my DS a few times. Been tempted to snap the damn thing in half too.

I've tried to crush controllers, I've actually heard the plastic shift on one of my PS2 controllers...which might explain why it doesn't work as well as another one.AmishSamurai wrote:I've bitten my DS a few times. Been tempted to snap the damn thing in half too.
Still a friend of mine jammed the Z button of his N64 controller inside the controller...Super Smash Bros...kills controllers.

Dracula wasn't that hard once I got the pattern down, also if you use Holy Water on the cookie monster, he becomes a total joke. Death on the other hand...J T wrote:Castlevania

Is one of the freaking hardest bosses ever. Anyone tried beating him without the holy water or cro-*ahem* boomerang?GSZX1337 wrote:Death on the other hand...
Actually, he's the hardest boss in a lot of the Castlevania games.

I knew that someone could finish that sentence better than I could.Dylan wrote:Is one of the freaking hardest bosses ever. Anyone tried beating him without the holy water or cro-*ahem* boomerang?GSZX1337 wrote:Death on the other hand...

The one time I beat him, I (thankfully) had the stop watch.

I actually beat the final boss in Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga today! The main post has been updated.

Man, I don't know what you guys are doing to beat Dracula in Castlevania. Death was hard, but I could never get through Dracula, even knowing about how to use the holy water. I eventually did it, but it was years of playing that game before I did. I completed Castlevania 3 in a few days when I rented it, so it never seemed as hard.
I laughed at that Castlevania 2 reference. I was stumped on that for ages. I think I even convinced my parents to let me call the old Nintendo hotline for help, which I rarely used. I never would have figured that out on my own.

Mike Tyson (aka Mr. Dream) in Punch Out was hard.
"I can't win, Doc!" "Yes you can, Mac!"

The key to beating Dracula is timing. It took me a looooong time to get the timing down to defeat Dracula in his vampire form. The cookie monster was pretty east for me to time when to throw down the Holy Water.J T wrote:Man, I don't know what you guys are doing to beat Dracula in Castlevania. Congrats! I read your initial post again. What equipment did you end up getting?jfe2 wrote:I actually beat the final boss in Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga today! The main post has been updated.
I'm still in Bowser's last castle as I've been struggling to find time to play the game lately. I've gotten these pants for Mario that doubles his HP and increases his POW. For Luigi, I have these pants that auto-regain HP.
For me, the key has been understanding the boss patterns and have proper timing to avoid getting hit.
