Buying a Wii game for my wife, possibly Wii Sports Resort?

Post by Flak Beard »

My wife wants a new Wii game for her birthday. She asked for Just Dance, but also said to use my judgement as to whether it would be crap or not.

Needless to say, I'm considering Wii Sports Resort at this point. Although, I don't have the cash right now for a second Motion Plus add-on. Are there a fair amount of included mini-games that you can play by passing the one Wiimote back and forth?

Also, any other game suggestions would be great. Is Just Dance as bad as they say?

I might be wrong - but I believe that you can still find the Wii Sports Resort pack that has the two wii motion pluses included. Off the top of my head - most people agree the sword fighting games are the most fun, and you definitely need two wmp attachments for two player sword fighting. Other than that - the frisbee games are a blast, but can be played with one controller. The canoe racing, while tiring can also be fun but would require two controllers. The modified golf + bowling can be done with one controller.

The question I really hate is "Do these pants make me look fat?" Good luck on the purchase buddy.

If you really want an in depth research:

The plane game (whatever its called) can also be played in turns. In fact you can play all the games in turns so long as you dont mind not competing directly. I say get it - its a great pack and you can always get another WM+ when you've got the cash?
