You already watch way too many shows. Read a book! A non-fiction book!

I recommend Californication. Great writing behind that show. It's a bit vulgar and over-the-top at times, but I love it.

30 Rock is pretty hilarious, but for me it was an acquired taste. I hated the show at first, but after awhile it grew on me. Now I don't know how I couldn't have liked it before.

Community is really funny, though a bit snobby. It helps if you've recently been through college too.

LOST is good, but perpetually confusing which is why people are actually excited that it is ending this season, since the final episodes are supposedly going to finally explain what has been happening.

Glee is totally pop, but the good kind of pop. It's smart, funny, and the cast has a lot of talent.

I also suggest Burn Notice, great show.

Also The Soup, very funny.

Caprica is a soap.. er space opera. Yea so it's part of scifi but drama is the main element.

I didn't say I watch them all currently. They just happen to be some of the more current shows that we like. And what is this non-fiction you speak of?

Books are good too. They do a really good job of holding down my end table.

Other than that, some nice suggestions. Thanks guys.

I was on the fence about Californication and a couple I haven't heard of sound pretty good. I will probably look into Modern Family and Burn Notice.

We actually were early subscribers to LOST but then it got far too jumbled and nonsensical for my tastes, I haven't watched in a few years but I would be really surprised if ANY explanation could be satisfactory.

If you want comedy, check out "The Big Bang Theory" on CBS and "30 Rock" on NBC.

If you aren't into sitcoms, but still want comedy, check out "Tosh.0", "The Sarah Silverman Program" and "Important Things with Demitri Martin" on Comedy Central, though repeats of "The Sarah Silverman Program" air on Logo.

Also, Logo started airing "Buffy the Vampire Slayer".

And I've started watching CSI, but right now only if the episode has a plot that intrigues me.

Watch the IT Crowd. It's short, as is common for British TV shows, but it's funny as hell.
