I like trains, always have. 4 years ago I had a horrible experience with Hawaii-based online retailer http://www.toysnjoys.com/ I purchased a Shinkansen Densha de Go! controller for $100, it arrived at my door 6 months and several emails later. And it didn't work. I packed it up, sent it back and demanded a replacement. They complied, told me they'd sourced a new one and then 3 months later sent me out EXACTLY the same controller. The problem is that the gear on the left has 5 incremental gear positions, I can move it up once and it works fine, but it won't register any further. Since I've spent a lot of money and it's just sitting in a box under my bed, does anyone know how I might go about getting it fixed? It's not something that a electrical repair man sees every day so I've been hesitant in trying somewhere local.
Here's some guy selling one on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/Playstation-2-PS2-D ... 5d255c8653

both let you stick things in them for amusement...
both usually end up costing you a fortune over time...
