A single credit will get me to the boss of stage 2, who will then proceed to flush my extra lives down the drain. You have such a small space to work in to take him down. I can't believe he's only the level 2 boss. I hate to see what awaits in the final stages.

That makes me feel better, as that's the state I'm in. I can usually get to the boss of 3 with at least one credit left, but then I noob out and get killed. Usually by the support struts, and not the boolets.

I could reach level 3 mid-boss without dying often, but I had serious issues with the boss of level 3 (it is very confining). I couldn't really destroy it for ages, I used to lose a lot of lives and time out. After a while I figured it out though.

I stopped playing Ikaruga regularly after I finished it by means of using a bunch of credits (9 or so on easy, more than that on Normal). It gets really hard really fast.
