Japanese White Sega Saturn Model 2 w/round Buttons Mod

Does anybody know if i can mod this using modchip from racketboy? and is it possibble to do a region hack on it so that the system can play pal and us games?

I believe it's more difficult, but it may be possible. I may be mistaken, but I think the board in the white Saturn is a Sanyo board. This article may help you- link. Open your Saturn to be sure.

Oh, that's a good question. I got a couple of those and was thinking of modding them for future sale. I want to know too.

Yea i recently purchase this and i think it looks great. I have the black US model 2 with modchip installed, i love the white saturn so much that i want it to be my main saturn to be played on.

I have a modded white saturn with round buttons that was bought here on the forums, would have to open it up to check how the chip was installed to see if it helps you. Now that I saw one of the links above I'm curious.

This just may be my stupidity showing, but what's wrong with a region cart?

If you want to make things easy I'd just take the modded innards from the black Saturn and put them in the white case. That's what I did .
