Quick Advice - Do I Pull the Chrono Trigger (SNES)
Quick Advice - Do I Pull the Chrono Trigger (SNES)
Hey - so I found a copy of Chrono Trigger for the SNES on Craigslist. The seller is asking $60 and it includes everything except for the maps.
I have the DS & PS1 versions, should I add the original to my library. Anything I should look out for?

Get it, the SNES original is the definitive version of the game, no loading times, perfect audio and a nice large non-portable CRT to view it on.

Don't waste your money unless you really really want it. You already have two versions of the game.

Do more research, the PS1 version is crappy and has loooonnnnggggg loading times coupled with badly ported audio, the DS version is on a tiny screen and suffered from the DS's shitty sound chip.Quiet Flight wrote:Don't waste your money unless you really really want it. You could pick up the maps later. Try to get it for 55.
If you have the money I say go for it.

Well it IS a portable version. And I haven't noticed any real problems of the sound quality on the DS version.Mod_Man_Extreme wrote:the DS version is on a tiny screen and suffered from the DS's shitty sound chip.
I would get it if you want to play it on your TV. As modman said the PS1 load times are long and all blargh. Though the animation was pretty cool, though that is also in the DS version.
