Powerless DC Controller

Okay I just recently got a Clear Blue Controller.

This controller to be exact:

And when I plug it in and start teh dreamcast up it starts up fine but then it dosent work. Basicly it beeps like normal and then nothing else. The VMU i have does work with other controllers. Has anyone else had a similar problem and been able to fix it?

If so do tell my new friends.

maybe one ont the contacts isnt getting a good conection between the dc and the controller

I pre-clean all used stuff before I use them so I know the contacts are all clean.
