Are there any good laserdisc games?

My fiance got me a Pioneer Laseractive for valentines day. It is awesome however it only came with one game Pyramid Patrol. Are there any games worth playing (not just collecting) that won't cost me an arm and a leg. Talking to some people I work with they all raved about Dragon's Lair. Is it worth the premium on laserdisc or should I just get the sega cd version?

They completely remastered the original game from the original cells in HD, redid the soundtrack in 5.1, and threw in the original of both just incase.

Regardless, it is a great game on any disc based system - stay away from the NES version.

You are very lucky, better get married to that one!

I have Astron Belt Palcom disk, which is a shump. You control a large icon over video background. Don't have a Laser Active MSX setup so only can watch the video. I also have the Original Arcade Laser Discs Dragons Lair and M.A.C.H. 3, can see all the footage on these two. Lair has great Disney animation, you don't actually control the character more of reaction to a game scene.

Laser game disks very hard to come by, most have real basic game play.

Stay away from the Sega CD version. Grainy as hell.

I started looking at some other Laser Disc titles I own, rediscovered a real jewel.

Not a game, but one to look for and impossible to find, never released to DVD.
You don't have to be a Space Tech Geek to appreciate all the stuff packed in this Laser Disk.

Space Archive Volume 5: Greetings from Earth.
1985 Video Vision CAV format.

This is the disc that really shows off the capabilities of the Laser Player.
Some of the chapters include: CRAY Supercomputers Aurora currents
Video of Space Shuttle Missions including Space Shuttle Launch, Satellite launch in Space and a very cool from Space to Earth landing sequence all accompanied with Tangerine Dream background music. Feels like you are in this ride between the music and Astronauts communicating with Ground Control.
LANDSAT satellite still imagery of the entire United States. All laid out on cross-grid individual frame select with guide booklet and map. Additional satellite imagery throughout the world. Here is where that "Laser Active" really applies though a regular player can also search out individual frames of a video. Come to think of it I have not seen any DVD Disc featured this way with over 3000 individual selectable still frames.

Very hard to find but if you do, probably the best show off disc for your Laseractive.
I bought mine new at Tower Video years ago, good luck in your search.

This looks like a great place for all the Obsolete video formats including Laser, CED, DVHS, HDDVD and VHD.
VHD was a sleeved Laser Disc, big in Japan years ago.
