One thing beats Phendrana. And that's Phendrana as done by Metroid Metal.

Oh, and Kraid's Hideout in all its forms. First time I got down there as a kid the music told me "You are in a bad place that is going to kick your ass over and over".

I never liked it either; my friends would rant and rave about it.. but I never enjoyed it.
