Any confirmation on region coding for the game yet? Or better yet, any publisher in the states picking it up? Great upload, I am much more interested in this than I was for Mushi-Futari.

General consensus on the shmups.org board is that it won't be region free. As it turns out, to make a 360 game region free it must be submitted to the approvals board of every region, which takes time and money. It seems that Cave region freed Mushi Futari to see if people overseas would buy it and are now planning on licensing their shmups for overseas release. Deathsmiles is the first one, so if that sells well enough then we'll see more of their releases.

Speaking as a relative newcomer to the genre, I suspect that Espgaluda will be low on the list of "to be localized" because of the complexity of its system. And I don't even mean the scoring system. As I understand it Espgaluda has different modes you can be in depending on the size of your counter, and these modes will affect bullet speeds and some allow you to cancel bullets. With Deathsmiles it's very simple; shoot stuff and it dies. Even the scoring of Deathsmiles is fairly simple compared to Mushi Futari.

While it's great that this'll be region free as well, that's just one less game I need my JP 360 for. I'm down to Deathsmiles, DDPDOJBLEX, and Ketsui. And Deathsmiles is getting localized (but I doubt I'll buy it again).

ah, get over it. You should be happy for everyone! Trust me, I dropped major coin on JP Raiden Fighters, Raiden 4, and Deathsmiles as well.

Of course you've still got shooting love 200X, Mamoru-kun, and Otomedius Gorgeous..

So did anyone else's copy arrive with a damaged manual? Outer edges got crushed by the dual disc case.

This has happened to me on a couple occasions. I know I'm anal, but this SURELY would upset the Japanese market as well.
