If you could write a letter to yourself in the past...

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

DNT - you're too young to write to yourself! (you're 14)!

If I were writing to myself, when I was about your age, it would be to say:

You will be happy when you get to 30+, things will work out in life for you on so many levels during your 30's and especially 40's, so don't be concerned life sucks hard at the moment, have for the last few years and will for the next few I know, but stick with it, things will work out in the end. The issues you have at the moment will build you and make you independent, tough and resilient enough to accomplish what you will. The gain is worth the pain.

To the me of three months ago (approx. November 2009):

DON'T sell off all of your Pokemon and Kingdom Hearts and Mega Man game guides!! You spent who knows how many years buying them, and although you will get a good amount of money for them, it will not be worth it. It's also ridiculously pointless. Why?

You're going to get hired for a very good job in less than a month. Your paycheck will be worth about 10x more than all those game guides put together. So KEEP them, for goodness sake!!

(Yeah... I'm still in the process of trying to get most of those guides back. Thanks to some posts in the BST forum, though, I've gotten most of the Pokemon ones back! )

Dear me (Circa 2000),

Ignore Dylan, opening e-mail from 2010 on your old 200mhz Win98SE machine will cause it to melt.

Enjoy the Kindling,

P.S.-Oh and robot apocalypse, trust me you'll want to put it off for a few more decades.

Dear me,

Don't sell complete versions of Mega Man 1-8, Mega Man Soccer, Mega Man X1-X5, a top loading NES, an SNES, and the gameboy Mega Man games for $120 on eBay in one big lot before eBay got really big...you'd appreciate the extra crash...oh and don't major in science, you won't like it.
