Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Games you know no one else has or even heard of...

Post by h8b1llg8ts »

Is there a game in your collection that you are sure know one else has or even heard of? A game that some how sold you on the box art, or advertising, or maybe a game that suddenly appeared in your stack. And after a quick play through, it really isn't that bad. I, myself, have two in mind.

The first one is Steel Harbinger -PSOne. My brother in law rented this game way back in '97 for no other reason but for the half naked girl on the front. He hated it for it's simplicity but I seemed to like it for that exact reason.

The last one is my most recent addition, Spirit and Spells - GC. I know that some of you may have this game because you have a complete GC collection but I found this game by accident. I was just going through wiki GC catalog during October and happened upon this game that I never heard of. A couple of clicks around I found some video on it and thought my daughter would love it. But the price was just a little to much for an unheard of GC game. But until just yesterday I finally found it and it's not as bad as people say.

But that could be the Halloween candy from last October talking ...

I only have two I can think of, but both may be well known here since there is such a heavy Sega contingency here:
Real Sound: Kaze No Regret - Dreamcast
Virus - Saturn

Real Sound because it sounded like such an amazing concept. An interactive fiction title that the blind can play aswell.

Virus because it was during my heavy FPS days. It is an FPS horror title where the enemies are all invisible and you can only find them based on audio cues. Your gun has limited ammo and it can get balls to the walls difficult. I cant actually find gameplay from this, but it terrified me when I played through part of it.

No one ever has heard of it but I played it to death as kid. James Bond Jr. for the SNES. Great action platformer. I will always cheat and just skip the first mission because it is really ass hard in the air ship.

Sorry I should have explained it more, it does sound alot like Enemy Zero in that description. Imagine if Enemy Zero and Snatcher loved each other very much and had a child. So it is an interactive fiction where the action moments are Enemy Zero like terrifying with an Action Points/Endurance system and puzzle elements. Sadly it was never translated, but the CG and Anime cutscenes are gorgeous and it is playable with a translation guide.

How about this one for the PS1, a very strange exploring game.

I've heard claims but never seen proof.

I don't know how obscure it is, but I've never heard anybody really talk about Darkened Skye which is a strange GameCube game where you use the rainbow power of Skittles (yes, Skittles) to do battle against the forces of evil.

I think Nathan should get Trale Lewous and Keith Apicary to do some combined episode about this game.
