I don't mind it, it means I can squeeze an extra game in that I wouldn't have been able to otherwise.

PS. that isn't the extent of my collection (lol). Just the games that are in boxes that I've purchased since moving into our bungalow 8 months ago (I keep my boxes in my Mother's loft since I don't really have any need for them up here) and the discs go in something similar to this:

The discs are on 3x3 pages and are stacked rather than filed vertically but it's practically the same thing.

If I had to choose a best box, I'd say the NTSC DS boxes are the best, they are so neat and small and no space is wasted. The worst boxes are the Saturn boxes (the teeth always fall out so the disc just flies about, plus there's so much wasted space in the case) and the Dreamcast boxes, again, the teeth always fall out and they're just really ugly.

I've been transfering all of my PS3 games to the Blu-Ray cases used for movies. It saves a lot of space - the same shelf that would normally hold 30 PS3 games can hold 40 when they're put in Blu-Ray cases.

Of course, this means I have to make custom covers for all of my PS3 games, but that's no problem to me. I actually strongly prefer many of my customs over the retail covers.

I don't understand why Sony didn't go with the standard Blu-Ray cases in the first place. They're slimmer, yet the still hold the game + manuals just fine. Plus blue is purdy.

Nice job on the covers!

Agree, PS3 and Blue-Ray should have been same case. However, from a collect-ability stand point you might want to hang on to all those old cases and artwork. Never know, years from now may be worth something.

Anyone hate buying a game from Gamestop/Game Crazy with generic covers? I will drive to 4 different Gamestops to get Original case , Booklet and Artwork.

Shelf space is always an issue. I have all my PS1 games in two huge binders with all booklets and inserts. I kept all the old clear PS1 Jewel cases and all those long boxes stored away in a couple moving boxes in washroom top shelf. The long boxes in Particular are irreplaceable, no way am I tossing them.

Oh no, I don't ever throw my cases/manuals out. Not since I got a PS1 - I'll never stop kicking myself for throwing out the boxes for my Gameboy and SNES games.

I just put the original cases in a box, and then put 'em in the closet. At the very least, I'll put the cover art/manual in a little bag, if I plan to use the case itself for something else. (For instance, I've found that PS2 cases can hold up to five games inside... makes them great for hold the bigger PC games I have that come on multiple discs, like Half-Life 2 and Psychonauts.)

7K can you post a side by side comparison of the PS3 games in bluray case and a normal PS3 game in it's standard case? I'm intrigued as to what the difference is, I don't own any BD movies.

I have to disagree. Those blue cases hurt my eyes!

I would highly suggest black blu-ray cases. I've seen them at a local used game store so I know that they're available, and they look much more bold and sexy.

On a side note, I put all my Xbox 360 games in standard black DVD cases and they look MUCH more professional. I always hated the stupid green cases on the original Xbox games and even though I think the lighter green they use for the 360 looks a little better.. it still looks like crap. I mean, you've got this really great artwork on the front.. BUT with this ugly green border around it? Yuck! Just say no.

Can't find my SD card anywhere, so I can't transfer any pictures to my computer. I'll just show a side-by-side of the spines, as that's the only thing that really changes.

From what I understand, though, the UK uses different dimensions for their Blu-Ray movies than the US does. Dunno why. I get my cases from Sleeve City.
