Since I'm away from school, I use a CD Wallet that store my PS3, WII, and 360 games so I didn't have to take all the cases with me. I would have liked to take the cases with me, but I like to take as little things as possible so moving in and out of my dorm wont be a bitch. As for the Manuals, I keep them in a folder.

Re: If you keep your games in a cd wallet, what do you do with..
I keep my PS1 games in a Case Logic case I picked up from the thrift store. The cases are in a shoebox in the shed, so that if, for whatever reason, I sell the game, I still have the case. I also keep the manuals nearby. But I don't keep any multidisc games in the case.
I also use CD cases (roughly hold 24-32 discs) for my:
* PC games, both legit and backups
* Dreamcast CD-Rs
* PS1 CD-R backups
* DVD backups, though throw them out when I get a legit copy. Sometimes, I don't even watch the backup and end up throwing it out when I get a legit copy (this happened with Batman '89 and Batman Returns, when I got the 4-film 2-Disc thing from WalMart).
* Music CD-Rs, which are, excusing the FF8 OST and a few albums to hard to find in the States (or anywhere), burned from legit downloads (i.e. iTunes).
* Sega CD backups
I actually want to move ALL my CD-based games to cases, keep the manuals nearby, and keep the original cases in a safe place.

I chuck the cases. I don't need or want them and it saves soooo much room.

are you serious!? those cases not only make a better presentation, but they make the game so much more valuable and keep the games protected. i surprised to hear someone say this actually. but "for every man his own" as a friend of mine would say. you should really think of selling the cases and manuals off on this forum. there is a post up where you can list your cases and manuals so others can buy it from you.Quiet Flight wrote:I chuck the cases. I'll probably get a CD wallet for all my Playstation games when I go off to college so I dont have to lug all those cases with me and worry if they get damaged in transit. I saw a really neat wallet that held 48 CDs with a picture of a NES controller on it.

Except for a few rare Turbo Duo and Jap Sega Saturn games I throw them out. I don't really care about the value, only if Its a fun game. I tend to hold on to 99 % of the ones i purchase anyways.weasels wrote:are you serious!? those cases not only make a better presentation, but they make the game so much more valuable and keep the games protected. i surprised to hear someone say this actually. but "for every man his own" as a friend of mine would say. you should really think of selling the cases and manuals off on this forum. there is a post up where you can list your cases and manuals so others can buy it from you.Quiet Flight wrote:I chuck the cases. More or less this. I put the games in a huge CD book I have along with my dvds, and all the cases go in a portable shelf thing I have at home. Just so much easier to store.Metal Militia wrote:Since I'm away from school, I use a CD Wallet that store my PS3, WII, and 360 games so I didn't have to take all the cases with me. I do this. I know it makes the other racketboy members cringe, but I don't like the clutter around the tv and having everything discretely tucked away in a CD binder allows me to have my games nearby without taking up a lot of space.
I keep all my manuals in a drawer. I also take out the DVD inserts and fold them down the crease. I store them all together alphabetically. I keep the DVD boxes in various nooks and crannies, like behind the shoe rack in my closet where I can't store anything else anyways.

I keep my CD games in there cases and put them on a shelf, however, I usually take out the manual and put it in a sealed ziploc bag and put them in a drawer that only houses manuals. This way when I open up a case, the manual doesn't fall out and the edges don't get frayed. I don't read the manuals that often anyway.
