I thought world 5 was the biggest pain in the ass ever. Especially 5-2. FUCK that place.

Eh, I felt World 4 was the hardest world. The skeletons are murder, each one stronger and faster than the last.

Easiest world was World 2 for me. Using the Water Cloak and other Fire Resistance Equips/Spells/etc really makes it a walk through the park to me. Plus the Arc Demon is the easiest of the 5 to kill, once you know what to do.
I agree that world 2 is pretty easy, but world 5 is the real miserable one. Especially 5-2. I can't tell you how many times I died because I'd accidentally roll into the bog. And don't get me started on the plague babies in 5-3.

World 5-2 certainly is a pain in the ass, but at least you can snipe pretty much everybody there. It's best to avoid CQC altogether, because if you accidentally try to roll and you're in the swamp, you're a dead man.

At least World 5 waits 'til 5-2 to be a pain in the ass. World 4 is f'en death rolling into your face as soon as you come in, with gigantic spears shooting into your back every now and then. No sniping either - those skeletons will roll at you so fast, CQC is the only answer, and all it takes is one slip-up before you're back at the beginning.

I take it you played a magic/range user? For melee users world 4 is really easy. Especially with a big tower shield and a bastard sword. One hit kills for those Skeletons, the only ones that give me trouble now are the black ones, but only because they have huge defense and just take time to take down. I'm only soul level 38 as well. For some I reason I can't kill the adjudicator though, I assume I'm supposed to hit the blade that's sticking out of his side, but no matter where I hit him, including the blade I do absolutely 0 damage to him.

To kill the Adjuticator what you do his attack the blade several times so that you're cutting into his flesh, instead of bouncing off the fat. After several hits he will bend forward and the little bird on his crown will be in range. You have to hit that to do damage to him.

Yeah, I'm speaking based on my second play-through. I didn't really have a problem with any area on my first play-through. My second play-through, though, World 4 is the toughest followed by World 5. I'm mostly a CQC guy, using the Brushwood Shield and Penetrator's Sword. Don't really wear any armor, though, for the sake of being able to dodge like a pro. I still always carry a lot of arrows with me, as well as a Talisman of Beasts for Soul Ray and Yuria's/Freke's Buffs. I use my range attacks to pick off enemies so I don't have to deal with more than one in CQC.

Fighting one skeleton is very much doable, but if more than one gets on your ass, you gotta finish all but the last one off as soon as possible. All it takes is one swipe, usually, for you to be good and dead from those guys. I tried fighting them with armor, but it only affords me maybe one more slash, at best - and I avoid a lot more attacks by dodging than anything else.

Interesting. What soul level were you when you were attempting them? I can take on 2 at a time. Don't think I could do any more than that. I rolled Knight and I'm soul level 38. The black skeletons don't do much damage to me even if I don't block. For the normal ones, If I get them with my heavy attack before they get to me they're dead. If I miss, I block with the shield deflect their weak attack and kill them with my heavy attack. I'm using a Bastard Sword+5 + Purple shield.

Thanks for the tips Mr. Popo. I'll try that. I was just getting totally disheartened that it wasn't doing any damage and tried other areas to do damage. Hopefully I'll be able to do it tonight.

Also, does anybody know how to kill those Bear Bugs in 2-2 quickly? It takes me about 5 minutes to take one down, far too long.

Magic. If you have stick white stuff, enchant weapon, or just spells you can take them down easily. Otherwise you're just going to have to whack at them for a while.

Don't have much magic, I'm building a strength/end pure and Sticky White stuff seems really expensive. I assume it lasts as long as turpentine? Or does it last longer?

I'm not sure how long it lasts, to be honest. The first time I did 2-2 I just killed all of them the slow way with my shield and spear.
