When I was a kid, a friend of mine lost all of his He-Man and GI Joe toys in a tragic fire attack on their base. Their base was the oven, and his mom didn't know that.

Like with NES and SNES carts, it depends on how much memory the game has and if it needs extra stuff for saving.

wow, thanks for the info, hobie. i vaguely remember noticing this with NES carts too now that i see your picture. makes for a lot of wasted plastic, but at least one cart's life was supposedly saved by that dead weight!

Nah, Mario 64 probably looks like the one on the left since it has SRAM. The one on the left is probably a game that doesn't save like Star Fox or something.

Starfox saves, it keeps track of how many medals you own.

Ah, yes, I was forgetting that. Then I guess anything that saves with a memory card, like the Turok's, Top Gear Rally's, Castlevania, etc.
