I know I left some out like Powerstone, but chose some of the more popular series.

street fighter then soul calibur, but smash bros. is a close second.

In terms of just having an epic storyline, KoF/Fatal Fury is my favorite. But I think Samurai Shodown has the highest fun factor of them all.

Of course, I also have to vote for Street Fighter because it was responsible for mainstreaming the entire fighting genre.

Love Street Fighter but Tekken and Virtua Fighter have always been my favorites (I'm starting to lean more towards Tekken now)
