BattleBlock Theatre (from The Behemoth) Preview

Post by racketboy »

From the creators of Castle Crashers and Alien Hominid

Anybody see this yet? Looks wonderful.
Just wish they would port their stuff to PSN. I'm still not planning on getting a 360 :(

But it looks like it has some of the ideas and mechanics behind the Alien Hominid PDA minigames, but fleshed out more and with added personality :)

I love the Behemoth! Everything they have made has been excellent IMO. This game has been on my radar for awhile now, and the up until the link you posted, I had only seen random gameplay videos. That trailer is absolutely awesome!

Dan Paladin's character design is just excellent, and it just continues to show in BattleBlock Theatre. I love his designs so much that I actually bought a Castle Crasher figurine from the Behemoth Store. Hopefully they release some figurines for this game as well!

Well, you can play the PS2 Alien Hominid on PS3, and Castle Crashers is being ported to PS3 this year.

I love the company, but I really dont want to buy a 360 for downloads. Especially since all their games are arcade inspired and just begging to be put in an arcade cabinet.

Heck if they released them on PC Id buy them all atleast once. And if this one is as fun as the PDA game, Ill buy multiple copies. Rumor is that right now that most of the multiplayer modes only use two buttons and a stick, if so Id buy three more cabs and build a cab lan. I cant imagine anything other than some sort of time contract with Microsoft holding them back.

It actually came out recently. Anyone try it? The trailer is very funny

It sounds cool from what I've heard, my only gripe being the abundance of multi-player achievements. They did that with Castle Crashers too
