What do you think of Fantasy Zone's music?
I think that the theme from the first one is gonna be stuck in my head for awhile now that i've been reminded of it. Great tune, but so upbeat it drives me nuts sometimes.

I really like the music in Gradius 3. My favorite being "Cosmo Plant" (I've also seen it listed as "Space Vegetation")

I've gotten into the Espgaluda II soundtrack lately. How can you not like Mutiny?

Also, this far in and no mention of the arcade version of Earth Defense Force? (Stay away from the crap SNES version. loads of parallax and FM sound do not translate well to the SNES at all.)

You said rail shooters were acceptable. I loved a lot of the tracks in Panzer Dragoon Orta

Also, Starfox's music was excellent. It had a very militaristic feel to it and was suitably epic when necessary. Honestly, some tracks sounded like they could have fit into a movie. I love this one:



And we've mentioned Radiant Silvergun already. My favorite track comes from this stage:

yup, Star Fox (SNES) music is superb! one of my favorites tunes are in level 1 and 2 of the middle quest.
