What happens to games released late in a console's lifespan?

I'd advise against Silent Hill:SM on PS2, it's completely broken. Check the comparison video http://www.destructoid.com/silent-hill- ... 1714.phtml
According to Mozgus the controls are terrible because they've tried to map the wii remote to the analogue sticks and it hasn't really worked.

I'm interested to hear what you thought of the Motorstorm game. Is it fun? Production value decent? I've been considering picking it up as well after reading some good (if quiet) buzz.

I played the demo for the PSP version and thought that the controls for the PSP sucked. It will probably be better for the PS2. Same with the Jak and Daxter game.

Really?

I guess a "Woo-Hoo" for me.

That's probably more down to the PSP more than anything. There's not much you can do with the poor controls on the PSP.

I've only played the first couple of levels. So far, it's too easy, but that could change in later levels. The controls make it really easy to turn corners. This is really different from so many other games where you can really botch a corner and lose the race. This feels much more arcade-style, where you don't have to hit your lines and nail the corner just right. Instead, if you turn when you hit the corner, you're probably going to be fine.

The graphics are good, but kind of blurry and a little shy of being totally smooth. Maybe because it is a port? There are stylish menus and video transitions and stuff that make it seem like a pretty sleek product though. The music is especially top notch. I like drum n bass and there are some good dnb tracks on here.

So, it's not the best racer ever, but it's enjoyable. It's kind of comparable to the ATV Offroad series.

I'm not sure what to make of the first motorstorm game, I'm still stuck on the first race. Can't win a single race on it. I don't know why but the controls just seem to be so unresponsive. Just seems broken to me.
