There's a user on the Dutch equivalent of eBay, Marktplaats.nl, offering the Limited Edition of Sonic Adventure 2. I can't find any price estimates on it and videogamepricecharts doesn't list it.
There's a picture right here.
He's offering it for 30 Euros, that's about $40 USD.
He's also offering a Dreamcast with the following stuff, all CIB, for 150 Euros:
- 2 games (Tony Hawk and Sonic, I think)
- 4 Controllers
- 4 Controller Extension Cables
- 8 VMUs (4 grey, 2 blue, 2 green)
- 8 Rumble Packs
- Mouse
So, would these be good deals? I could probably sell some of that stuff through separately to make some of that money back... I don't need 8 VMUs and Rumble packs. O.o
Also, if the Limited Edition is Japanese, that's fine, I have a freeloader.
Sonic Adventure 2 Limited Edition?
Re: Sonic Adventure 2 Limited Edition?
Little pricey but then again its out of print.
I have this, game is identical to regular Sonic 2.
The extras are pretty cool.

Yeah, seems pretty pricey. Don't know anything about the Sonic Adventure 2 game though.

I don't know much about that Sonic game, but you could get MUCH more for 150 € on ebay...But since you do not live in the UK and the postage would be a lot, this may be a good deal...Dunno, check this.
BTW: You can always ask, whether or not would be a seller willing to send somewhere, where he does not on default and he mostly is willing to do so

Re: Sonic Adventure 2 Limited Edition?
The price on the Sonic 2 B-Day edition is about normal. It's NTSC-J only. The extras kick ass. I don't think it's overpriced at all.
Concerning the DC lot, considering the accessories included, the price is actually about right. The question is; do you really need all of those accessories? You could pay the same amount of money or less for a DC, 2 controllers, a couple VMUs and a bunch of games. I'd much rather have a bunch of games than accessories I'd never use. EIGHT rumble packs? WTF?

Re: Sonic Adventure 2 Limited Edition?
Wow, I didn't know that there was a Collector's Edition of Sonic Adventure 2.
The DC lot sounds fine (not a steal) considering you get the boxes. Is the shipping okay?

Only released in Japan. It comes with a very nice box, Sonic 10th Anniversary coin, booklet and a best of Sonic soundtrack.GSZX1337 wrote:Wow, I didn't know that there was a Collector's Edition of Sonic Adventure 2.

Re: Sonic Adventure 2 Limited Edition?
Like I said, I could probably sell the extra 4 rumble packs, 4 VMUs and the two games for about 10 Euros each, since they're boxed, that's 100 Euros so I'd only be out 50 for the stuff I'd actually use!Breetai wrote:The price on the Sonic 2 B-Day edition is about normal. As for it being NTSC-J, I have a freeloader and I heard the Japanese game has a part where they actually call him Dr. Robotnik, whereas the English dub uses Eggman, which I hate... Wait, I just remembered seeing a video of the English dub, that game's voices and mouth animations are HORRIBLE. Let's hope the Japanese are better.
Ohhhh, a soundtrack. That is awesome, I want that~Breetai wrote:Only released in Japan. It comes with a very nice box, Sonic 10th Anniversary coin, booklet and a best of Sonic soundtrack.
Thanks for the input!
Re: Sonic Adventure 2 Limited Edition?
I've never played the English dubbed version. The game gives you the option to display in full English text, so it will be totally playable. As for your preference on Japanese voices vs. English, that's a matter of perspective. I do find it a bit odd how some people who don't understand Japanese would rather hear Japanese voice overs, but to each their own.AARST wrote:As for it being NTSC-J, I have a freeloader and I heard the Japanese game has a part where they actually call him Dr. Robotnik, whereas the English dub uses Eggman, which I hate... Good luck getting 10 Euro for each VMU and rumble back. You'll need it, even if they are boxed.

I think on some games hearing original language (like a movie) is best way to catch the mood.Breetai wrote:I've never played the English dubbed version. Dreamcast Shenmue 2 in Japanese or the movie Das Boot in German comes to mind ..........
