Very Nice! I love the artwork on the control panel. Maybe I'll takes some pictures and post mine as well.

I see you've gone for 4:3 -> 16:9 stretch rather than black borders. That would bug me.
That would be a nice cabinet for new fighters with that screen.

The game characters look fatter, but aren't we all gaining weight pounding on these keys?

Amazing, I am jealous.

Dude I would kill for this setup! Amazing job sir! Is there anywhere to buy a cabinet like this already made where you just add screen and computer setup!?!

Or alternatively try to make one yourself. I've made 4 cabs now (upright, cocktail, and a pair of driving cabinets). They're very simple to make if you've got some basic woodworking skills. And if you don't, find someone who does and buy them some beer.
Here's two of my build logs showing some of the internals and building process:

The principles are pretty much identical no matter what you build. I'm going to be building myself a VewLix cabinet later in the year using similar materials and build methods, which will take a 27" widescreen LCD and hook into my PS3, Wii and eventually XBox 360 for modern fighting games and shmups.
Re: I'm playing arcade fighting games on this!
Thanks, I was looking at my old arcade cabinet one day and decided that the screen was too small (22" LCD) and I couldn't sleep so started to draw a new design for a showcase style cabinet, it was late probably around 1am when I drew it. I knew I had to hand build it, I had no choice my room can barely fit a normal upright cabinet so when I was building this one I kept in mind that it had to fit in the same spot. You can buy one already made, but I actually like building them its almost as much fun as playing on them. I was going to build a candy cab, but I always loved showcase cabinets. Ever time I go into Gameworks I see them and like playing on them so I decided that I should build something I will enjoy plus everyone knows that a bigger screen equals more fun, but I would like to get a candy cab later on maybe with a MVS unit8bit wrote:Dude I would kill for this setup! I agree that the buttons do seem a little higher up than normal. But maybe that's a good thing cause it gives you more room to rest your arms when sitting down at the cab?
Very nice setup by the way
