It looks cool, but I want the Big Daddy Uber Edition that they show in the second half of this video.

I'm pissed right now because I'll only have enough for the standard edition once the 9th hits.
Oh how I want the limited edition so bad.

Damn, the Uber Edition was canceled!

Plain vanilla for me. I'm enjoying the hell out of Bioshock 1, but I just don't have the $$ to buy the collector's upgrade right now. I'm really look forward to Heavy Rain!

What's a Bioshock?

I honestly have never played it, but yes, of course I've heard of it. What separates it from all the other cookie cutter fps's?

Let's see...

There's the artistic appeal of Rapture. It's been said, and I whole-heartedly agree, that Rapture itself is a major character in the first game.

There is actually a story in the first game and since there is no MP, the developers were able to craft a wonderful script.

Big Daddy's! The choice to harvest or save the Little Sister's is a masterful subtlety in the overall story of Rapture. They also are a pain to kill and provides some real suspense when you stumble upon them.

I could go on, but I think you get the picture!

Actually, I don't. I guess I need to google Rapture, Big Daddy's, and Little Sister's, because I have no idea what you are talking about.

Rapture is an underwater utopian city gone awry. It was created by a man named Andrew Ryan who believed a society founded on science, rather than religion or politics, would make an ideal world. When you first walk into Rapture, there is a sign that reads "No Gods or Kings. Only Man".

In Rapture, people had begun to advance themselves using things called "plasmids" that would allow them to splice their genes in ways that created super-human abilities, such as shooting flames and electricity. Unfortunately, it also mutated people and made them mad. This was the downfall of Rapture, and it is at this point that you begin the game.

What makes Bioshock a great game is Rapture. As you walk through this Art Deco inspired underwater city, you can see how this was one man's wonderful vision gone horribly wrong. It's sad and frightening at the same time. Travelling through Rapture and trying to figure out what motivated its construction and what wrought its downfall is what sets Bioshock apart from any standard shooter. Also, there are some RPG elements to the game in how the story plays out and how you build up your character's power. Really though, as cool as Rapture is, it is still very much a game about shooting people in the face.
