Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Is150 a good deal on a Pioneer LaserActive with the Sega CD

Post by GamerMON »

Just saw this on my local craigslist.

http://kansascity.craigslist.org/ele/1582139798.html

I just bought a Sega CD model 2 (so the only game I have is Sewer Shark). I am sure I could talk them down. Mainly posting this so anyone near me knows about it (nobody can say I don't give back).

Take me back to Kansas! I would jump on that if I lived nearby.

Great find, you should grab it!

Does it come with controllers for both sega and the Interactive Laser and does it take regular Sega controllers?

I have the Dragons Lair Arcade disc, I should pursue trying to get an interactive player, only have a flippy player.
Of course also need electrical board, controller, cabinet ................

I've seen them listed for $2,000 on ebay, so as long as it works, then I would say: "definitely". Let's put it this way, you can hardly find just Sega CD Model 2's in good working condition for less than $60-70, so you get this spiffy all-in-one package? If I was in the KC area, I would have probably already bought it, lol.

I bought mine for $60, but $150 is a great price.

If you decide to purchase it, make sure you thoroughly test it and take an optical cable with you!

Lucky you. I'm looking to buy a Laseractive, but haven't found anything even close to that price. I'd go for it, if I were you.

Jump on that while you can...for $150 in that condition it's an absolute steal (as long as everything still works).

You do know that Kansas City is in Missouri right. There is a city in KS called Kansas Ciyt, Kansas. You wouldn't refer to Bizarro Superman as just Superman would you?

I got my Sega CD boxed for $25 (missing ac adapter and Sewer Shark). So I don't know if I got a deal or not. Does anywhere track this? I couldn't find anything on VGPC.

I would say $25 is a very good deal. I was looking for a Sega CD last Fall, and boxed Model 2's were minimum $75, plus shipping. If the box was in really good condition, then likely over $100. (These were fleabay price, btw).
