The F*** IS THIS??!?

Well, to start off I have NEVER been offended by any Video game, I have EVER played. But today I picked up Modern Ware fare 2...
I can't play it. There is no way I can finish the campaign of this game, it is too much. To start, The first level drops you in the middle east there are bad guys shooting at you across the lake, typical Shooter right? The game progresses, I start to notice these tiny little details. Your allies are enjoying killing these people, they are enjoying killing the "bad guys" I swear I saw a smile stretch across a characters pixelated face as he shot at a militia man.
The airport level, I know I was given the option to skip, but I didn't, I wanted to see this mythical level everyone is saying is so "awesome". For those who don't know, Like me, You basically walk into a crowded airport with some allies, and shoot the place up, killing random helpless civilians. I didn't shoot my weapon ONCE in this level, I was in total shock. This is ridiculous, I am one of the people who bash the others who say video games cause violence. but this is just too much. What ever happened to the days when you beat up the bad guy and took him to jail? I know many will say "But you wanted a war game, this is war" yes, to a certain extent, but I wanted a GAME not a simulator. As this is happening all I can think is about Coulmbine. This doesn't need to be in a game, this is sad, This is the awful direction video games are taking, like a cancer of the brain, in the part that controls right from wrong, I can see it starting to lose function.
In GTA or Pretty much any other game that gives you the option to be bad ,fable for example, You have a choice, You can kill masses of innocent people "Personally, I have had lots of fun doing this in GTA" But it is nothing compaired to this. You stroll in kill hundreds of people all while remaining totally calm and walking nice and slow. The people in the airport all flock to the bottom floor, guess what? they are trapped, Your "allies" Murder them, One...by...one.
Needless to say, I will be sticking to the Multiplayer. Oh and my personal message to Infinity ward, "Fag jokes aren't funny, killing people in an airport isn't fun, You are portraying soldiers as heartless douchebags who kill for the thrill. Get lives, get writers, stop going for shock value."

The Airport level is a keystone for setting up the games story, if your offended your told from the start to skip it, you didn't, your offended, see how redundant that sounds?

It never amazes me how people seem to think Video games do this, Video games do that, if you watch a movie that someone shoots up an airport, oh well they did it, but because you move a joystick and press a button its somehow realistic.

As for the smiling soldiers and what not, I have no idea what your talking about I have played it through twice, they do the regular OHHAAA! kind of stuff, but other than that no idea.

Modern Warfare 2 sucks for only 1 reason, its too short.

There's a multitude of reasons why I won't play Modern Warfare 2. I actually have to say that this one is one of the lesser reasons. I choose to not play the game, mostly because I don't care for First-Person Shooters, but this event upset me, not really because of the content, but the fact that this is just more fuel for anti-gaming media. I don't want them to get the upper hand in the argument.

I have no interest in war or anything of the sort. I'm also not too crazy about FPS's. So I didn't play this game, nor do I intend to, ever. Problem solved.

The airport stage is completely superfluous to the plot. Without that stage the game would still suck just as badly. You can't kill the russian guy (I forgot the name of him now), you can't kill his operatives. You get to the end and he just shoots you in the end. Um... point? Really? The game would be no different if they had said 'some russian guy shot up an airport and blamed it on the Americans, now he's some russians with weapons to shoot in the face'.

Seriously, this game sucks, a huge fucking fat one, it sold on the strengths of the first, thats it. Even the multiplayer is broken.

I downloaded the game for PC because I just knew that it would be a fundamentally broken experience on the platform, and the amount of money they wanted for it for such a small amount of content repulsed me. I played through the single player and just felt like I had wasted the 5 or so hours it took to complete.

"No Russian" is the best level in the game I like to knife the guys crawling from me Just remember, its a game, you cant take it serious.
