Where to buy components

Post by Marspants »

So I want to get RGB out of my Turbo Duo with this guide but I need to get some parts

http://www.gamesx.com/rgbadd/rgbturbo.htm

I want to get a DIN 8 PCB MOUNT for my cable and some of the parts mentioned in the amp.
Point to this is, where should I get these from? Is there any stores online that sell small quantities of parts like this? I keep searching and all I can find is packs of 500, ect.. I would check local places but in such a small place I'm doubting it highly.

ebay is good, I use ebay for components, as you can buy a few parts at a time.

If you want to make your own 8P2T switch, I have a guide on my site. Making your own ones is cheap, all be it larger, than ones you can buy. Also, on my TurboGrafx section, there are details of how to make your system region free if you want to.

Action Electronics is good. I've also used vet co. Then of course there's mouser, digikey, and jameco. They do tend to have larger minimum orders though.

Problem with buying small quantities of components is that shipping is always going to cost more than the components. It sucks paying $1.50 for a connector and $6 for shipping.
