Hit Gaming- wtf

Post by J T »

So, you've probably noticed that for the past year or so, Amazon has had ridiculously high prices as their main listing for old games. Though you can find much cheaper new and used games on Amazon, the main price you first see is often over $100 dollars. This appears to all be due to one company: Hit Gaming.

Who are these guys? Why are they always the featured vendor? Why do their prices suck so hard? Do they really think I'm that big of a sucker?

They probably paid amazon some sort of premium to be a premier merchant plus on their side a bite once in a while makes for good profit margins. The carrying costs for video games can be very low.

I've noticed this with some ebay stores as well. Most people aren't stupid when it comes to saving money and most of the time these companies fold. I'm unsure how long Hitgaming has been around, but people are trying to save money anyway they can these days. Companies like Hitgaming tend not do very well in this kind of economic environment.

what I really hate is when says someting like "used and new from 3.99" then you go to the page and it is 3.99 plus 19.99 shipping and handling. I have sold and few things on amazon and I thought you have to have standardized pricing of 3.99 for video games.

On top of having expensive prices, they charge 7.99 for shipping too when the set marketplace shipping price is 3.99
