No, Sega licensed it. Just read the box, it's in the yellow stripe. It's pretty much just loaded with some old Genesis games and some arcade games, with a few wii-ish motion sensor games.

It's just a Chintendo Vii with Genny hardware, not a new console.

No, some company made it and asked Sega of Europe for a license.

I hate how these Genesis clones are always crap. You'd think since technology has advanced so much since the Genesis, that they could make a better quality Genesis than the original that is more reliable. But no, the Genesis clones that even have a cartridge slot tend to have problems with certain more demanding carts. It really sucks :?

Especially this one. I don't even like the whole motion control thing that much. It's fun at first, but the fun really wears off after a pretty short period. I would know, I own a Wii. I certainly don't think a $50 Wii/Genesis mashup would be very fun to play.

Lots of these companies try to go the cheap route and use a Genesis-on-a-chip design that usually fails miserably from the high level of miniaturization that occurs.

If a company were to make a genesis clone that is literally a clone using modern equivalents to Genesis hardware like the Genesis 3 did in 1998/1999 then it would work perfectly.

That looks a lot like that Wii knockoff piece of crap that was being sold at CVS.

*edit*

Yup, that's what I thought...

A zone 40 with some added genesis roms. Nothing spectacular.
