I don't hate it.

I'm just glad that this is the final season (Right?) as I feel that they've drug the show out as far as it can go.

The way you worded it did not read that way. Some seasons have been rough, ie season 2, but they have an amazing job at tying everything together.

So Esau = New Locke = Smoke Monster. But I have two questions:
1. Was the Jacob that showed up to Hurley outside of the van really Jacob or was it Esau?
2. What was the book that Hurley picked up under the temple?

And like I said last year, if they pull a Highlander 2 on me, thats it for me and ABC.

Interesting episode. More new characters, as usual. We don't know who they are, exactly, but we are finally seeing the true "others" led by Richard. And now some Japanese guy! Sheesh.

Looks like they are now turning the tide: Locke (or this current manifestation of him) is now without a doubt the villain. The monster/Esau/Locke appear to be trapped on the island - kept in place by some elaborate set up - not unlike Shadow of the Colossus. Do the others and Jacob exist to keep him/it contained?

Not sure where they are going with the new alternate timeline. It's interesting but I feel like at this point they should be bringing things more together and not continuing to split the plot over and over.

I enjoyed it, but it's gotten to a point where anything weird/unexplainable that happens has me just rolling my eyes and going "well, it's LOST, what did you expect." I'm sure there will be some sort of explanation for what is going on, but I highly doubt it can be anything too satisfying. Every season, the show gets you to try to understand what is going on, but then explains that there was some mystical reason why things happened the way they did, so you just have to kind of accept that there is some magical/divine aspect to the island or Jakob or whatever. I don't enjoy the show us much now that I don't believe you can logic your way to any conclusions or even general understanding, but it's still a good show.
