It would be nice to have one for games too.
Thanks!

Re: Best Tool For Opening Up Super Nintendo Console
that'll work, I picked up a similar tool kit through Thinkgeek.com
It's been well worth the money.

That's pretty nice that it comes with the triwings and everything. I only have the 3.8mm and 4.5mm security bits, so when I encounter something like a triwing it takes a while to get it open lol.
Also the two security bits that I have were poorly made. The hole is off centered which will some times create problems.
There's also some really weird bits I've encountered, like some Genesis carts. I've seen one that was an allen bolt, but it had a pin in the middle of the hole so you can't stick an allen key in it. I wonder if that tool kit has the require bit for that.
Looks like a nice kit though, I might pick it up myself.

Its a security Tee Star. Sometimes (usually) carts with those are super cheap screws and you might be able to break out the pin in the middle so that a normal Tee Star will work. 'Normal' security bit sets have them in. The crappy ass ZooZen toolkit came with the bits, but the NES/GEN/NEC bits in that are garbage. My ones from Electric Quarter are high quality, that's why I always pimp them when people need bits. You'll want both sizes too.Ziggy587 wrote: There's also some really weird bits I've encountered, like some Genesis carts. Re: Best Tool For Opening Up Super Nintendo Console
I bought some tempered bits off Ebay about a year ago, I have opened up a dozen SNES's and countless NES/SNES carts with them and they are still just as accurate as when I first bought them. Ill have to look through my ebay history tonight and see if the guy is still selling them.
Other than that I was given two boxer brand kits, one for "small electronic" use and one general security bit set. Ive yet to find something in home electronics I cant open with those two kits and the Nintendo bits:

Ill have to find the other Frys site has decided to timeout on me - its in a grey case.
