Holy cow some very rare stuff, all the readers are seeing some great stuff ..........pepharytheworm wrote:Capcom CPS Changer

Amiga CD32 (canadian version)
I can't think of anymore that are at least 10 years old, made by a "huge" video game company, had a few months sell life and has a light.
Capcom CPS Changer - No, I have never even heard of this proposed home model. I only knew of the Neo Geo using Arcade boards for Home Consoles.

RDI Halcyon - No , Here is another rarity a Laser Disc based game system. Phillips and Pioneer were the biggest Laser Disc producers of the day.

Amiga CD32 (canadian version) - No, none of the countries.

First 2 I believe are more rare than what I purchased. Also what i got is a controller not an entire system.

Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
Ohj my God you are talking about the Game God Forerunner of all Video Games! He invented the first home video game console, has tons of patents, even invented Simon. A modern Thomas Edison. There is no way I could own, let alone even touch the Brown Box! I would love to try out one of the first light guns made for a home console! He inspired Nolan Bushnell, who hired Al Acorn to build or maybe copied his great ideals!s1mplehumar wrote:^ Ralph Baer's Odyssey prototype?
Just spit it out!

Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
First off I want to apologize to all that are upset. I am just real excited in what i have found. Some may see my Video Game Find as not that great but please read on to the end. Also bear in mind that I have been looking for this game Controller for the past 10 years. I am still unsure money value because I never see it on E-bay. But to me its not a money value but finding a treasure at the end of a long search.pepharytheworm wrote:dedalusdedalus wrote:I second thatgirlracer wrote:CRTGAMER, if you want to play guessing games, can you make your own thread other than hi-jacking this one? I was also not trying to hijack but to ADD interest to this Topic by getting expertise from others on Unique game systems and accessories.
I thought the end result is that we might all benefit one of the joys of Video gaming, that is discovering new treasures. I myself have learned about some great Retro systems. I now see I have a lot more hunting to do out there.
Again my Apologies I really meant no offense to anyone.
Anyways what I bought for $5.00 is a simple grey Playstation DUAL ANALOG Controller:

Note it is a DUAL ANALOG not DUAL SHOCK. These came out right after the first PS1 Analog also known as the PS1 Flight Stick:

I have 2 of these but I consider that little one on top a lot more valuable.
It is the only Sony Brand PS1 joystick that supports Gamepad - Flightstick - Current PS1 Dual Shock. Two color lights - A Red light and unique to this stick a Green light would indicate which Analog mode is chosen. I mentioned the Japanese versions had problems. Those Japanese controllers also came with the first shock motors which would sometimes fry the board. So consequently the American release did not have the shock motor. Roughly 3 months later the Japanese version was replaced with a new DUAL SHOCK but Analog Flightstick mode was dropped. American PS1 consoles than followed suit repackaging with new Dual Shock. The reason the Flight Analog was dropped was the electrical problem with vibration motor and the fact that few games supported the old Flightstick mode. The games had an icon on the back that states Analog Compatible and showed an outline of the Flightstick handle. PS1 Descent comes to mind.
I really like this controller. It has Unique Sticks with concave thumbs just like the 1st edition Interact Barracuda stick which is my other favorite stick. (That is a story itself) The handles are longer than your regular Dual Shock. I have stated before I love Video Games best when playing them so this stick will share time along with the Barracuda. Although probably a lot more gingerly and carefully. No Street Fighter on this controller!
Some further reading attesting the rarity of this stick:
http://www.axess.com/twilight/console/detail/psx_a.html
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dual_Analog_Controller
http://www.the-nextlevel.com/features/h ... nalog-pad/
This to me is one of the true spirit of finding a treasure that anyone can afford. The reason why is most sellers do not recognize it from the regular grey Dual Shock.
Lastly once again my APOLOGIES for upsetting anyone.

Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
The Playstation DUAL ANALOG Controller is rare. I have never seen one in real life. Does it play any different then a regular one? I didn't know it had a green light.
Where's my chippy? There's my chippy.
