Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

I see that one has an 'extra' code in the top right as well. Even in the fuzzy picture you can see how crappy the molding is on the left side.

Yeah your right the plastic is realy crappy and flimsy and wrong color thats the funnyist thing.About five years they busted someone who had a little factory making fake gba carts about five miles from where I live so theres loads of them round here.

This whole wonky label thing doesn't seem to be a fantastic indicator to be quite honest. I've just been looking through my GBA cartridges, and some have labels as wonky as that Pocky and Rocky Cart, yet i know i bought them brand new, shrink wrapped and at full price from Gamestation.

There are GB fakes that come in boxes too in Europe. The 2 easiest things to check for are a number physically stamped in the label (see the 13 on the right of my example cart) and if you see Nintendo silkscreened next to the pins.

For sure the game is a rip off, but is it a financial loss? I've got a few unlicensed NES games that have seem to increased in value, and I would jump at the opportunity to buy a game with a "Nintondo" logo.

I understand why you would be disappointed, as I think most of us would, but any chance the cart may be worth a pretty penny in the future?

That's almost my view exactly. As long as it is a version or a game that isn't available as a licensed game other wise; it would be a welcome addition to my collection. One such game I have is a version of bootleg Pokemon Crystal cart housed in the usual Game Boy / Game Boy Color casing format. This is unique considering the fact that Pokemon Crystal was released only as a Game Boy Color only cart. I am not sure if the game works correctly with the original B&W Game Boy system (which I no longer own), but I guess a good way to test it would be to try it on Super Game Boy. However, in your case, it appears that the game is just a cheap bootleg of a game that is already available in a common licensed format.

other than the possibility that the game won't save, I'd be excited to get a Rocky & Pocky wih Becky cart for $5 personally.

Yeah, that's why I was all excited when I saw it. Getting that for $5 and the PS3 Williams pinball for $10 right before they closed I didn't think to look closely. Bah! I kinda just want to say oh well for $5 too, but its the pricipal and being an obviously crappy bootleg I don't want to have it die on me in a month or something. Blargh!

understood. Like I said, if it were a game that didn't rely on battery then I'd just suck it up myself.
