Bootleg cart at Gamestop = fail

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

I need one of these carts.
For the record, they're copies of Sword of Mana and Tactics Ogre. I know Tactics Ogre works all the way through, as I've beaten it a couple of times. Not sure about Sword of Mana...it's something I start and then lose interest in.

I love Final Fantasy Adventure... but I couldn't really get into Sword Of Mana.

Why should they? They make what; $8 an hour? They don't get paid to know this stuff.

Still, I agree that it would REALLY piss me off to realize that I'd been sold a pirated cart at a legit store.
He didn't get it from a legit store. He got it from the same corporation that sells used games as new.

In all honesty, I'm sure they could give a rat's ass about checking the authenticity about a loose gba cart. Not a slam on the employees, just real world common sense.

I used to see these in our stock when I worked there many moons ago....sometimes fellow employees don't know any better. It was mainly pokemon games....I remember once seeing a game that had Pending as the ESRB rating.

Because on GBA carts its easy to check for a stamped number in the label and look for the silkscreened Nintendo in the plug. Silly me for not checking. :(

I would be more ashamed at myself for missing it and not Gamestop. They can get tons of trade ins at one time with others in line trying to check out. No one teaches them what to look for, they have to find that out on their own. And for the record a standard gamestop employee makes minimum wage, they wish they made $8 an hr. The 3rd key makes closer to $8.

Just to add to the inattentive sellers pile, my games from Japan came today. My PS2 Star Soldier contained... a Japanese copy of HD Advance. And my Zanac X Zanac case (the big nonstandard Japanese ones) is cracked to hell. :x :x :x

Mine was from japan-trust777. Thankfully the disc and all artwork is fine, but not like I can replace the case easily and they obviously never opened the Star Soldier when they took the game in used. I paid ~$180 for 3 games and EMS shipping and they pack the games in a layer of bubble wrap and toss them in a bubble mailer for their trip to me across the ocean? That's just crap. I've bought super cheap game bundles sent by the slow cheap method and they were in boxes before. :x
