because they didn't make a lot of them, and they're not easy to reproduce.
Make that impossible to reproduce thanks to the proprietary digital to analog lockout chip in the cable connector.

Found this on Craigslist for $40.
I know it wasn't the best price, but I have always wanted one of these.

Only a month into the new year and I'm already on a roll with killer Gamecube finds!
Sheesh you got a Gamecube component cable for only $5.00?

Now you can laugh back at me, cost me $39.00, well at least thats better than most on E-Bay going for $60.00.
Oh, I paid a ton for my other one too ($50 shipped from Japan), but I've always wanted a couple of spares just in case, so I couldn't pass up GameStop's deal.

Here's the Component Cable listing on their site:
http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/Product ... t_id=32149

Be sure to actually call and have the stores confirm that they actually have a component cable first, though. Most of the time it's just a brain dead employee marking a Standard Composite AV Cable as a Component Cable.

Honestly, though, I freaked when they said that they actually had it, every other time I had called a store it was only mislabeled cables and such so I'm happy I finally got a cheap one and won one awesome deal over my company.
Oh yeah I ran into same results. Either a S-Video or a Wii cable packed in with that SKU number.
But you are very lucky to actually get a Gamecube Component cable for $4.99. Very good find.
I'll keep looking for a spare that way too.

Okay now to get you back, and talk about good timing to extract my revenge .............................

This find was so cool I am gonna have to tease everyone a little ................

Back a few pages to pages 191 and 190 of this Topic, I posted pics of my killer buys
of 2 Vectrexs for $20.00, Gamecube PSO for $4.99 and Gamecube LAN for 99 cents.
http://www.racketboy.com/forum/viewtopi ... start=1900

Well .............

I found something from the local Swap Meet today that I feel may top all my other finds!
The table or should I say 6 combined families of years of garage sale stuff piled just had no idea.
I am proud of myself for keeping a straight poker face while buying it.

This was such a rairity that I figure I'll let the cat out of the bag after a few guesses from fellow readers.
Maybe we will hear of other Great Rare potential finds to look for.

Okay right now I'll just say it is a piece of hardware made by one of the huge Video Game Companies
and only had an in store run for about 2-3 months before being pulled off the shelves. Other hint
was nothing to do for safety violations or copyrights, I'll leave it at that.

I have been looking for this for about 10 years so bear with me as I bask in this laughing hysterically.
My wife thinks I am nuts! I really have to hold that candy out of reach for a little while. Will post after
few guesses, hopefully no angry ones. Hopefully great Ideas of other Hidden surprises to look for at
Swap Meets.

Also were only sold in Japan Stores. U.S. customers had to order direct from Nintendo for $29.00.

Okay, Okay so I paid an extra $10.00 for a used one .........

If you don't have the game already and want to play it I'd suggest selling the sealed copy and buying a black label copy used. Pocket the profit

All the 4 Final Fantasy games for the Gameboy cost me 50 dollars while the Brave Knight is 16 dollars. Don't know if the 4 Final Fantasy games is worth 50 dollars but with the condition they're in, I think it's well worth it.

You MAY have been SLIGHTLY more than need be, BUT they are all CIB. Which is amazing. And they're great, great games. So good job!

I waited 10 years to get this piece of hardware. I Looked at salvation Army, Swap Meets, and last few years on Ebay and Craigs list.

So I don't want to drop it right away.

Cats gotta play with the mouse before letting it go ................

Remember the Highlander where the guy lived forever and after centuries of living amassed a rare collection? I think that is true, the longer you look eventually you find it.

Also I'm trying to drum up responses by guesstimates and maybe everyone will find out about some other great unknown hardware finds to look for ............
