Best Sega Saturn Revisions and Model Type

Post by AznKhmerBoi »

What do you like and why?
I love the white model 2 Japanese Saturn. The japanese saturn logo is very nice. The red and white really do go together well. I think their intention is to mimich the japanese flag/ color.
Please feel free to add any other iteration of the saturn that i might of missed. Thanks!

The Japanese white model 2 (the one all the way at the bottom) looks pretty awesome. The model I have is the one with the oval buttons. The Saturn itself had a nice basic structure to it.
Systems: SNES, PS1, GBA SP, Gamecube, DS Lite, Wii, PS3 (Fully Backwards Compatible), Dreamcast, Nintendo 64, Sega Genesis, a Sega CD, and a Sega Saturn.

Yes Simple and Yet Sxy. I wonder y they change the saturn logo? The logo they use for the japanese version is great . Remind me of a flame lol. They use the picture of Saturn the plantet for the other version ... So not creative at all. Y Y Y sega.

I currently have two of the black pal model 2 (round button) consoles. I think the main reason i prefer this over the model one is mainly the pad. I know the model doesn't make a difference to what pads you use but when you get one in the box i'd rather it be one of the model 2 pads.

Over all like most (i assume) the Japanese white model 2 looks amazing i'm currently trying to gather up £120 to buy a one switchless modded (50/60htz - USA/JPN/PAL) and fitted with a modchip to play backups. When i get that it'll definitely be the one on show and the one getting used.
I haven't slept for ten days, because that would be too long.

I like the Japanese style Saturns mainly because of the Jpn-style Sega Saturn logo on it. At the moment I have a skeleton black American model, but would love to get one of the lighter coloured Jpn models to stir it up a bit.

Then again, I'm pretty sure most of my Sega Collection is black except my Dreamcast... I never got the sports edition black Dc yet.
Got: Atari 2600, Atari 7800Pro, Commodore 64, Odyssey 2, Sega Master System, NES, Genesis Models 1-3, Nomad, Game Gear, Sega CD Model 1, Sega 32x, SuperNES, GameBoys, GameBoy Pocket, GBC, Sega Saturn Model 2, GBA, Nintendo 64, Playstation, Sega Dreamcast, Playstation 2 Slim, Nintendo DS Lite, Xbox 360, Gamecube, PS3 Slim

I have a white model 2 Saturn. It's pretty awesome. I'm looking into modding it, as I'd love to play some Panzer Dragoon Saga or Radiant Silvergun at least once in my life. Or one of the 2 fantastic Cotton games for the Saturn that run upwards of 100 USD.

While their prices are expensive, hit-japan is where I bought my Saturn a couple of years ago. This is a boxed Skeleton Saturn for 170 O.B.O. The problem is, they charge a buttload for shipping. If you combine shipping with some games, it's more worth it.
