So, if a game has shit controls (I'm assuming that they're right about the controls), you're going to say it's good?

Hell yea. I watch his reviews almost daily. He's a great reviewer in that he just admits his bias. I feel like he's very honest that it's his opinion about games. Also, it's nice that there is usually tons of game play footage in his reviews.

Good stuff.

Also, he's got a good sense of humor.

have you even ever played virtual on!? it's a classic. the problem with the game is it has a special controller since it's actually a port of an arcade game. have you ever heard of the twin sticks? the game is made for it! it's true that the controls are not good that well translated onto the DC and it's true that it's a lot of money to buy a twin stick controller, but it's like they never gave it a chance. the controls aren't good but they are playable and with the right motivation can be mastered! i have no idea why you would assume that i would back up a game because it has crappy controls! im sure there is many people here that will agree with me that virtual on is a good game!

I love his reviews. Ever since I've subscribed, his videos are one of the first things I check on when logging into YouTube. No single person makes classic video game reviews as often as he does.
Systems: SNES, PS1, GBA SP, Gamecube, DS Lite, Wii, PS3 (Fully Backwards Compatible), Dreamcast, Nintendo 64, Sega Genesis, a Sega CD, and a Sega Saturn.

Nope. Don't have the Twin Sticks.
the problem with the game is it has a special controller since it's actually a port of an arcade game.

The Dreamcast twin Sticks were never released in the US. (or soI 've been told)
have you ever heard of the twin sticks?
Ever heard of capitalization?
the game is made for it! it's true that the controls are not good that well translated onto the DC and it's true that it's a lot of money to buy a twin stick controller, but it's like they never gave it a chance.
They never made any mention of the Twin Sticks, I'm guessing they didn't know (at the time) that those sticks existed.

So, they're shit?
i have no idea why you would assume that i would back up a game because it has crappy controls!
You don't mention the fact that they don't use the Twin Sticks, you just say that they couldn't control the game well.

EDIT: Let me expand on this. Your post was very similar to some of the comments I've seen on YouTube where people don't seem to know that the video was created ~10 years ago and that they never mentioned the Twin Sticks and talked exclusively about the Dreamcast control scheme.

I'm sure it's fine.

The twin sticks were released for the saturn but there is a special Saturn to DC port that can be bought that allows one to play VO:OT with them.

So what if i don't use capitalization all the time, humans are not perfect and at least im better than some other people on the internet. why the hell did you even mention this? Actually it's irrelevant to the subject, so forget it.

Fair enough.

I'm pretty sure people get the idea that they didn't use the twin sticks.

Honestly your right that i didn't know when this video was made, but the Saturn Twin Stick controllers did come out before they made this. But don't degrade me to a youtube commenter that has no idea what he is talking about. Honestly you were the one who had to say that i will back up a game just because it has crappy controls. What did i say to piss you off? All i did was mention that only ONE of his reviews upset me but other than that he was a good reviewer. So i have a different opinion than him! look I'm not here to keep on fighting. I enjoy people on this forum and i don't hold on to little arguments like this and normally i try to avoid problems like this, so just forget everything since I'm not gonna sit here all day arguing with someone else. i value your opinion so I'm not going to continue this, but i expect everyone else to value my opinion as well.

I have to agree that Virtua On was a great game. I don't think the controls were shit personally, because translating the movement and all of the controls to the arcade was a hard ordeal, they were forced to map the controls the way the did for the dremacast. It is a very fast paced game for it's time, and in order to make well use of these controls one must learn how to do many simultaneous commands.

It also requires being able to adapt to a situation, like a fighting game that requires many buttons to do powerful combos yet be able to strategize what the guy is going to do next. You have to be able to lock on, out flank the guy and defend when he shoots at you. I'd have to say its also somewhat similar to the older Armored Core games.

So yes, it may seem crappy to someone who will not take the time to master the controls. Or it just might not be your type of game, which is more likely. Classic argument for fighting games.
