Hi, i'm nate and i'm 16 years old.
I'm in my second year in high school.
My favorite types of games are Platformers, action rpg's, and 2d fighters.
I have about 150 games in my small colection.
I have a snes, n64, wii, ps2, and a xbox360, and a dsi.
My favorite games are Tales of Symphonia for the gamecube, Super Mario rpg, The World Ends With You, Tatsunoko V.S Capcom, and the Megaman and megaman x games.
I got my first game system when i was four and that was the snes.
My dad got it for christmas. He woudn't let me play it at all the first day. So i sat there and watched him play Castlevania 4, Contra 3, and Super Mario Rpg all day.
He let me play it the next day and my dad never got to play it agian.

Re: New Members: Introduce Yourself!
Hello everyone!
My name is Geoff and I am 26 years old. I have only been in the retro gaming scene a couple of years now. I got into it not out of nostalgia, but out of curiosity. I didn't really appreciate video games when I was younger and despite having a few systems (SNES, N64, DC, GB), I didn't get much use out of them or even have that many games. I always had other things to do with my time and really only played when friends were over. In fact, there was a 3 year period of time after high school when I don't even think I played a game!
That all changed when I bought a 360 and a Wii at about the same time and only then did I really fall in love with video games. I eventually took a trip into the deep, dark depths of my parents' basement and unearthed my old 64 and Dreamcast, hooked them up and began playing; only for real this time! I discovered how many great games there were for just those two systems alone and began to wonder what else was out there. Flash forward about 2 years and I have amassed an impressive collection of systems and games. Everything from a 2600 to a Virtual Boy to a Saturn (x2) and beyond.
I came across this site about nine months ago and it has been a great resource. I was kind of going through this whole retro-expedition of mine blind but this place has really helped point me in the right direction. Why it took me so long to actually join the forum I really don't know. But I sure am glad to be here

First post here. I've been marginally aware of Racketboy for a bit, but never explored the forums. As active as they are, I decided to join.
Yay for me.
Yay for me.
Re: New Members: Introduce Yourself!
Hey everybody
Im a Biochem major at UVM in Burlington. I used to game a ton as a kid but I don't really have a lot of time to devote to games anymore. That said, I made sure to bring my SNES with me when I went to college. Im a summer person and its real real cold up here in Vermont this time of year so Ive been working my way through the various old school games that me and my roommates can scrounge together. Anyways, I joined up to get opinions from other retro gamers on SNES and N64 game, as Im fairly convinced at this point that I will never find a system that I love like I love my SNES. Ummm, my other hobbies are music and movies, and my 84 Honda VF500F
peace,
P
