Kick Ass
I just finished reading the comic series, and I've watched a few trailers for it, and needless to say I am looking forward to this film. I don't think it will be mind blowing, but I think it'll be good solid comic entertainment. Anyone else looking forward to the movie? Or enjoy the comic series?

I saw the footage for it that I think was taken off the net, it was quite interesting and funny too. Matthew Vaughn's Stardust was excellent, so I already know he's a capable director. This should be sweet.

Yeah, I need to check that out along with Layered Cake, his other film, because I've heard they're both pretty good.

I can't wait until Kick-Ass comes out. I've only read a few of the issues, though.
I also have DL'ed two of the trailers (the original one and the Hit-Girl one) and have them on my iPod (iPod + A/V cable = teh sick).
And Hit-Girl... she's like Dakota Fanning meets The Punisher.
And who the FUCK sings that wicked punk rock version of the Banana Splits song from the HG trailer? I don't think it's on iTunes

Re: Kick Ass
Yeah I read the first issue and got addicted. Hit Girl is a total bad ass.. I have a feeling she will be stealing the entire show. I don't really dig how they gave her a purple wig though, it just makes me think they're trying to give her sex appeal, which is just wrong.REPO Man wrote:I can't wait until Kick-Ass comes out. Looks entertaining. I like the realistic/still comic bookish feel they've gone with. When I first heard about the concept I was thinking it would be a straight up "if a real person tried to be a superhero" thing, but it's still very hollywood. Oh, and "if a real person tried to be a superhero": http://www.youtube.com/video_response_v ... VHeKCOcx4Q
Re: Kick Ass
Didn't really enjoy the comic, but a few friends of mine have seen screenings of KICK ASS.latenitevacancy wrote:I just finished reading the comic series, and I've watched a few trailers for it, and needless to say I am looking forward to this film. They have all loved it, but they didn't see the final cut. The screening they saw used the score from THE DARK KNIGHT. One of friends commented that with the wrong music, the film could really take a turn for the worse.
But, if you like the comic at all, you are really going to love the movie.
Re: Kick Ass
I saw a preview for this when I went to see Avatar. It looked really funny. I'm kind of busy for the theater, but I will probably rent it when it's out on DVD.

Re: Kick Ass
I love the comic Kick-Ass! I have bought every issue. This is definitely my favorite current comic. I don't know why Nick Cage is big daddy. That's kind of a let down for me. I'm still looking forward to this movie.
