Games that made you so angry you didn't finish them?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Fixed that for you. Gauntlet-style monster generators to respawn dudes is fine.

When you accept that Mario Kart 64 and up are party games and not true racing games, it becomes easier to deal with.
Oh I know, but I already have a tough time finding games that my girlfriend likes to play with me. I was browsing the 64 library and I think she found a nack with playing the Rush series.

Well, and Diablo clones where you want the loot to keep flowing. But yeah, need an appropriate respawn timer, not "dammit I just left that dead end room and it was empty!"

I recently had to quit earthworm jim 2. I collected all the posters so i could skip levels when i turn off my snes, but for some reason, when i turn it back on, the game shows i didnt collect any posters.

So i have to play the entire game through one sitting? Da hell? I"m not sure if it's supposed to do this, but dang it pisses me off. I really heard it gets good too :(

Okay, fair enough. I actually didn't mind respawns in Gauntlet games now that you mention it because you could always destroy the source of them, same thing with Dynasty Warriors games. You could destroy the gates and enemies stopped spawning. That made sense, you were stopping the reinforcements and once you racked up a thousand kills and sent your armies morale through the roof you didn't need the respawns anymore.

In a game like Bioshock though, the respawns were pointless and annoying.

Most recently, Ecco the Dolphin CD. Having to restart Welcome to the [motherfuckingcocksucking] Machine every time I lose to the Queen so that I never even get a chance to figure out the pattern to defeating her? What a wonderful idea, thank you. Even knowing all the ins and outs of that level only gives you like a 1 in 5 chance of passing it.

I got Bioshock just after Christmas for the 360, I don't play a lot of FPS, but the setting intrigued me. I got so frustrated with the vita chambers - every time you died you had spend at least 10 minutes searching for the cash and ammo you lose before attempting to make any kind of progress. That's a serious flaw in the games' design. I'm guessing they realized this because they kindly released the patch that allowed the vita chambers to be switched off. I played it again from the beginning and loved it. Sure, I died quite a bit - but at least I learned from my mistakes. What about that last boss though? What a cakewalk. I like a boss to kick me around a few times, build up a bit of a grudge, makes you feel like you've accomplished something when you finally beat them. Actually, am I only one who shouts "Fuck You!" at their screen after beating a particularly tough boss? I do that a lot.

My game is Ninja Gaiden 2 on the NES. I don't know why but that game was and always will be my childhood Mt. Everest.

I've currently stalled on Trauma Center: Under the Knife 2 on the DS. I've been over halfway for the past 3 months, and the operations were getting more and more ridiculous. The last time I played it was during one particular operation that I kept failing and failing and failing, and by the time I finally quit, my hand was shaking so badly I could barely hold a thing for about 15 minutes... And this was on EASY.

And it didn't help that my friend and I started playing around the same time, but she defeated this game on Hard with all XS grades in almost a single sitting...
