Does anyone ever played this????

Post by nightwalker »

Its been a while since I posted something  But here it goes I remember when I was a kid (not to long ago im 24 :P) I used to play a fighting game that was kinda like a wrestlin game but you only used two buttons and the special move of the game was hitting up and one of the buttons and instantly the player threw the guy into the air but really high up and then they ponund them into the ground. I only remember three players one guy looked a lot like guile form SF the other one was a minotaur and there was a girl that seemed like chun li. Ive been looking for this game !!!!WOW!!!! forever and I havent found it. It was my first fighting game that Ive ever played so I know its hard to figure out which game it is by this description but its the only thing I can remember. Maybe someone played it to. But if someone knows a game something like it I would appreciated that you let me know

That sounds an awful lot like Saturday Night Slam Masters. Look that up and see if it's it. It came out for SNES and in the arcade.

Im still looking for this game. I even searched the !!!!Killer List of Video Games !!!! in hopes of finding it. Can anybody tell me where can i find a list of arcade fighting games i think the game was back at 1987 1988 1989 1990 one of those cuz i remember playing street fightes as well (street fighter 1).

Thanks in advance.
:)

Edit:

Ok forgot to mention the gameplay is similar to king of the monsters except you dont clinch(if spelled correctly) with ur opponent. You only hit up and i remember the red button and up up and away you threw the oponent.

Two buttons...knocking guys into the air...minotaur...sounds sucky...

I could think of dozens of fighters like that, and I may be getting a little obscure here, but my vote goes to Hippodrome. That game had all of that if I remember correctly.

You said King of Monsters, which is a much newer title, are you sure it's not Power Instinct? That had some Street Fighter look alikes...

Knuckle Heads would be a close match I think too...but check out Hippodrome.

Ive checked those titles out and it aint none of those. Thank you I thought it was hippodrome but is a fighter exactly like king of the monsters the difference is that when u do the grab you just press up and a button and you throw your opponent to the air but you can see the stars and then each character does something different to pound him to the ground.

hehehe if I dont find this game i might have to program it hahahahha

Thanks for the help

Edit

I forgot they dont use weapons

Wikipedia actually has a pretty long list of fighting games/beat-em-ups. Have you taken the time to look through it? Maybe it'll jog the memory.

By the way, your avatar is pretty cool.
