Vampire Weekend!

Post by Weekend_Warrior »

Holy crap! This band is really good. Just discovering them now

They remind me a little of Paul Simon, Elvis Costello, and The Futureheads

My favorite new band of 2010!

Yes, amazing. Listening to "Holiday" as I type this. Hopefully you have both albums, because they are both really good.

My favorite band! :P

I personally like the first album more than the second one but both are very good. A-Punk, Campus, and Cousins are my favorites. Hope they keep coming out with new albums.

Haven't gotten around to Contra yet, but totally digged their self-titled...though I don't think it holds too much staying power.

I'll agree here, Vampire Weekend is an absolutely stellar band! Oxford Comma is one of my favorite songs in recent memory.

^ Yeah, I think they've pretty much hit the pop-saturation mark. Sort of like the Walkmen w/ the O.C., new Bowie fans w/ Wes Anderson...

I've heard some of their stuff, they're pretty cool. Not the kind of music I usually listen to though. I first heard about them on Whitney's Pop Candy blog on USAToday. She talks about indie bands a lot on her blog

They're a good band, they have that same kind of low-fi weird sound The Spinto Band have;

That vid is also kind of videogame related! 'Did I tell You' is my fave though.
