I have done the 50/60hz mod. In both modes I get the same bad adjustement (in 60hz however it's smaller due to the "bigger" picture).
Just wondering, If I adjust the picture through service panel wouldn't be a problem when I connect another scart device to the tv? A dvd player I have connected through the same scart is properly adjusted. The problem only appears on Saturn.
Sega Saturn scart problem
Re: Sega Saturn scart problem
this is probably causing the problem. its probably not outputting true 60Hz, somewhere "around" 60Hz, which your digital tv doesnt like. i had a problem when i was trying to use a PAL PS1 outputting full screen NTSC games, the TV wouldnt support the signal. best to just stick to true NTSC/60Hz consoles, unfortunately.I have done the 50/60hz mod
Re: Sega Saturn scart problem
even if it doesn't output true 60hz signal shouldn't when I switch it to 50hz play fine?
edit: just tested it to my pal unmoded console and it does the same thing.

Re: Sega Saturn scart problem
not too sure never owned a PAL console. but im guessing they were never designed to be connected up through RGB scart.
Re: Sega Saturn scart problem
They were shipped with rgb cables so I guess there isn't the problem there.
From what I have tested:
when I connect the console (50/60hz doesn't matter, tested also an unmoded pal console) to my living room's tv I get a horizontal misadjustment. When I connect the console to my rooms tv I get horizontal and vertical misadjustment...
When I try to connect the rgb scart to the svideo scart input on both tvs the adjustment is really ok (except of the blury colors of course but that's normal because I used an rgb scart to an svideo scart input).
I am really confused because other scart devices adjust well in both monitors...
