the7k ah, that makes sense. I try to stay out of Fighting game news for the most part. I am only good at the VS series and games like Powerstone, so all the talk about ultimate combos in King of Fighters XII is lost on me.

GamerMON - Ive not used the Madcatz stick, but my game was vastly improved when I used the Classic Controller or my Hori stick for it.

I got my copy yesterday, didnt have a chance to play it last night, last boardgame night for a time, Ill give it the rounds tonight. My Horis have been in wait.

Holy crap, there's some cool characters in there. I just a screen shot with Zero from Mega Man X. I'd buy the game just for that reason alone and I haven't played a 2-d fighter in years. Zero was the coolest thing in the Mega Man X series and it looks like they didn't use his shitty Mega Man Zero design for this game. Awesome!

Too bad I don't have a Wii

Oh, you should see the boss. It's way better than that Abyss loser.

Yeah, I can't wait to see a Zero vs Karas swordfight of epic proportions.

This game looks sick. The Tatsunoko vs Capcom fight stick looks cool as well, but before purchasing it I was just wondering if anybody has used it (or any wii fight stick) with any other game besides this one? I'd like to get it, but purchasing an $80 fight stick for one game seems pointless to me.

This stick is superior to the Hori stick because you can toggle whether the stick will control the classic controller D-pad, left analog, or right analog. The hori stick is always mapped to the d-pad I believe, which prevents it from being used in certain games (Metal Slug Anthology is the poster child I believe). The stick is pretty good quality, though if you're REALLY into your arcade buttons you might want to swap them out. Fortunately the stick is manufactured in such a way that this operation is easy. It's just a rebranded SF4 Standard Edition stick from Mad Catz, which got high marks. It works for every game with classic controller support that doesn't require the use of both analogs simultaneously.

My copy arrived yesterday, but we had guests over so I didn't have a chance to play it until tonight.

I'm surprised at how much fun this is. I mean, I didn't buy it expecting it to be crap, but I certainly didn't expect it to be that good. I've always enjoyed the versus series as a nice escape from more "traditional" fighters, but I can see this game getting some serious play time.

Now to make some sticks!

You are right about the hori, but where did you read that about the madcatz? That would make it an instant buy for me - atleast two.

Edit:
Nevermind, found it - damn it popo, now I need to get another $160
