Our responses might have driven off a potential forum user who could have made a contribution, or at least learned some new things and become a contributing member later. Or he could have been a troll, in which case, the mods would handle it. It also might be someone who simply doesn't understand forum etiquette. Stop immediately labeling folks, guys.

i agree with this guy. and really i dont like what is said on this site on a lot of posts. but everytime i say something about it a mod takes it down so i am going to say it again in caps! JUST BECAUSE!!!!

YOU GUYS ARE SO HARSH TO NEW PEOPLE HERE. I AM TELLING YOU, THIS IS AT LEAST MY THIRD COMPLAINT ABOUT IT. OBVIOUSLY IT IS A KID 2 RAZOR HAVOC CONTROL STICKS?? DR.SUESS BOOKS??? VERY FEW GAMES? THE FUNNY THING IS I AM 38 AND I BET 80% OF YOU PEOPLE ARE KIDS TO ME, BUT I TREAT EVERYONE WITH "COMMON COURTERSY" AND WHY AM I USING CAPS?? BECAUSE THE MODS HERE ARE OVERLY AGGRESSIVE.

so if it is not a kid and is a joke i still feel the same way as before. and the only reason why i havent been driven off yet is because i am not going to let many guys with 1200 + posts scare me off. i know my collection isnt the biggest or filled with the most coveted games in history but with a collection of over 800 games i think it can get some respect.

Actually, I happen to be a mod too. If you've had issues with some of the moderators in the past, I'm sorry to hear that. We're currently trying to hammer out a list of rules to go by for the community so everyone will understand what our standards are and what behavior is ok.

There are certain things we dislike, of course. Generally we frown on all caps for instance, because it conveys yelling and anger, such as in your case, where you used it to convey those emotions. Now your reason for using it is understandable, but using it for every post would be frowned upon.

We're sorry if we come off a bit harsh...it's just that many of the folks here have seen what can happen at websites where there is little to no moderation. We don't want to see this site become just another GameFAQS or 4chan, so we tend to ask for better grammar, less foul language, etc. We want a friendly place, though it sometimes comes at the expense of other folks, and some of our older members can sometimes be harsh to the newer guys who don't know their way around yet. In certain extreme cases we've had to ban people, though it's usually only after a considerable amount of problems, including multiple reprimands.

If you feel there's been a problem with a particular member, please contact a moderator and explain what's going on. If it happens to be a mod, contact a different one and explain your side Hopefully we can get everything cleared up and have a positive website where everyone can benefit.

I recognize those R/C controllers. I have one just like it that controlls a mini Helicopter.

Agreed. There are other boards out there including ones previously mentioned, that don't mind anonymous hatred and smack talk. Its fun to joke around if the other person being joked on knows its not serious.

Please, no hatin' on these forums.

Anyways, nice games you got there. By any chance, did anyone tell you about this website or did you find it on your own? Just curious. Also, if you want a preview into the wide world of video games, look no further than the left hand side bar on this site's main page. There holds a treasure trove of information at your disposal about the history of these games and gives you a preview of games you might be interested in. I would start with "Retro Gaming 101".

These sections are easy to read and full of pictures too!

Well now that the brush fire that broke out seems to have died down... welcome to the forums. Everyone's collection has to start somewhere, there's nothing wrong with a small collection. I see you have 2 copies of 'The Foot Book", so you've probably got the collector gene in there somewhere.

I wish I still had the big Richard Scarry book I had as a kid. The Pie Rats story where the cat made the alligator costume get his boat back was my favorite in that one.

*edit*

I know I had this one. I'm pretty sure at 69 pages it's the one with multiple stories and the Pie Rats in it.
