I think it was a sit down Night Driver cabinet. The one I played was metal flake purple, but here's a black one on this page:

If it wasn't Night Driver, then it must have been Asteroids or Space Invaders.

Super Mario Land! AWESOME!
Re: What was the first game you ever played?
Super Mario Land for Game Boy was the first game I played.
I was enthralled by it. I didn't own it, but my friend did. I think I began to use him for his GB at one point and would only hang out with him if he'd bring that precious, precious Mario game. lol

Batman Forever for the Sega Genesis. I remember being a huge Batman Fanatic when I was younger and I saw my friend playing this I knew I must get it. I remember pressing start on the start up screen and Tommy Lee Jones saying "If the Bat wants to play, we'll play."

Re: What was the first game you ever played?
It was some random educational game that came with my dad's Windows 3.1 computer. They were pretty cool back then, being 3D and all. It was like playing Toy Story! Sharper than life 3D!
My first console game was Sonic the Hedgehog 2. I loved the game mainly for the bonus stages. Me and my cousins would "race" in them, constantly jumping over each other to be in first place. Whoever was in first place when the round ended won.
It's odd, though- When I played that game back then, the graphics didn't look pixelated to me. I didn't notice the alaising, or the low sound quality. And with PC games, I didn't notice any scan lines either. But now, I notice it plenty. I imagine it will be the same way with todays consoles. It's already happening with the 128 consoles for me. Never happened with the PS1 though, it looked terrible to me even when it was current.

I had this problem too when the PS1 was new. A roommate had one and while some of the early games were fun that he had, the horrible mathematical precision of the 3D looked like crap compared to me playing Quake 1 on my PC. All those instances of textures and polygons that would jitter back and forth. I can ignore it more now than I could back then and can enjoy the games more now.BoringSupreez wrote:... Super Mario Bros 2 on the NES. I probably beat that game 100 times as a kid.

Like almost everyone else, it was super mario bros. Then in kindergarten, i started to play the Oregon Trail on the computers when i finished my work.
